Young Culture Announces Brand New EP With New Track- "Godspeed" Review

Written by Madison Boyce

Young Culture, the beloved trio from Albany, New York released a brand new track on July 8th, 2021 titled, “Godspeed”. Roughly a month ago the group released “Hum”, which would wind up being the leading single for Young Culture’s brand new EP!

As well as being the second single on the EP, “Godspeed” also serves as the title track for their EP set to release on July 30th. These two tracks are the first we’ve heard from the band since their debut full-length album, “Young Culture” in October of 2020.

With each release it’s clear Young Culture comes back stronger than the last. Coming back stronger and more unique than the previous release sets fans up for a surprise whenever the band releases a new track, you won’t know what you get until you listen!

While still having that element of surprise, they still include staples that you can find in any Young Culture track.

One thing that stands out in this track is the lyric, “It doesn’t matter where we go as long as you are mine.” Whenever I hear this line I’m immediately reminded of the track “Anywhere I Go, I’m Taking You With Me” off of their debut album.

Both tracks provide the feeling of being so in love with someone that nothing else matters if you have that person with you.

With “Godspeed” and their previous release of “Hum” fans such as myself can’t wait to hear the rest of the EP later this month.

“Godspeed” is now available on all streaming platforms as well as the rest of the Young Culture discography. Make sure you check out their brand new EP “Godspeed” on July 30th!
