This Wild Life Will Break Your Heart on "Nothing Hurts Like Love for the First Time"- Review

Written by Hannah Clough

As if 2020 couldn't get any better music-wise, pop-punkers This Wild Life just dropped a hot new single. "Nothing Hurts Like Love for the First Time" is made of soft acoustics and hauntingly beautiful vocals from Kevin Jordan.

This is the Long Beach natives' first release since "You Changed Everything" in 2019, meaning that, hopefully, they're gearing up for an album release next year. Although I've never been in a relationship, this song still managed to break my heart completely.

A sad tale of first love unfolds within this track, and goes to show that not everyone’s first love is the one that’s going to last. The duo is most known for their smooth ukulele chords and lyrics best listened to in the rain; this song is no different, but still brings something somewhat new to the table.

If you've never heard of This Wild Life, this release is a great place to start. At this point, they're considered veterans within the alternative music scene, having played Warped Tour, traveled with Mayday Parade, and headlined their own tours as well.

"Nothing Hurts Like Love For The First Time" is available to stream wherever you listen to music, and you can support This Wild Life by keeping up with them on Twitter @ThisWildLife and checking out their merch store. Feel free to tweet us your thoughts on the single @lgndsoftmrw!
