Save Face is a name that’s gained quite a lot of recognition over the last few years. In 2018, the New Jersey-based group released their second full-length album, “Merci,” and since then, they’ve continued to keep busy by releasing a split EP, a reimagined version of their song “Pour,” and most recently, a phenomenal new single titled “GLITTER.”
The intro instantly brings an irresistible hook, and there are plenty more of those to be found throughout the course of the track. The hooks are delivered by charismatic vocals, which put on a stellar performance bound to keep the listeners engaged the entire time.
The verses are a little bit more minimalistic, as the palm-muted guitar and bass riffs join the catchy drumbeat in driving the rhythm. The song quickly launches into a huge chorus, which contains some dissonance in the instrumentation through the contrast between the darker chord progression and the synths added into the mix.
The hard-hitting drums stand out a lot in this section, and they do the same in the brief second verse that follows. The song gets quiet for a moment before the hard-hitting bridge comes in, with striking instrumentals that bring a darker tone to the song.
A catchy guitar solo precedes the massive final choruses that conclude the song on a very strong note.
“GLITTER” brings unforgettable melodies and riveting performances from beginning to end. The track has a huge replay factor and will undoubtedly leave fans wanting to return for countless repeated listens.
