Rosie Charles Releases Passionate Debut Single - “Lonely” Review

Written by Emily Lutz

Hailing from London, Rosie Charles is a singer-songwriter with an R&B soul. Already receiving support from MTV and BBC, she releases her debut track titled “Lonely.”

The name of this track perfectly describes the song as a whole. It describes seeing everyone else being together, in love while you’re all alone.

The lyrics detail how you can get used to being by yourself but eventually it gets tiring- “I’m so used to this now / I’m getting bored of it / How do I find someone who really loves me / Someone who wants me.”

Listening to this track, the first thing that comes to mind is the color red. This is majorly conveyed through the lyrics, “I dream in tinted red / And wake up to an empty bed.”

From the very start of the track, it gives off much of the same sound as H.E.R., but with a personal twist. It’s only Charles’ first track, and it sounds so good and so well put together, you’d think she has a world of experience.

The single is all around sensual and addicting. While the song itself may not be long, Charles’ vocals drag you in and keeps you wanting to hit that repeat button.

“Lonely” is available now anywhere you stream music! Be sure to follow @rosie.charles on Instagram to keep up with everything she’ll do next; you won’t want to miss it! Let us know if you loved this single as much as we did by tweeting us @lgndsoftmrw.
