Plague Skater Releases Acoustic Track To End Out The Year - "Satan's Power" Review

Written by Madison Boyce

On December 23rd, 2020 the New Jersey artist Will Schwester released a new single “Satan’s Power” for his project Plague Skater. Earlier this year he released his debut, self-titled record; since then, he’s been working to make Plague Skater a known name in the DIY music scene.

It's safe to say that he has succeeded in doing so, gaining around 400 followers on both Instagram and Twitter in less than a year. His track “Stupid Love Song” just passed 2,000 streams on Spotify, and his other tracks aren’t too far behind.

While most of his songs give off a louder punk vibe, this newest track goes for a more acoustic vibe. This quickly became one of my favorite songs that he's put out.

Schwester's raw vocals along with the acoustic guitar make for a perfect rainy day song. After hearing this, I definitely think fans would be open to hearing more stripped-down tracks from Plague Skater.

Being able to release songs that are such polar opposites and still being successful either way definitely says something about Schwester's musical abilities. Having that kind of versatility under your belt is a great thing to have for any musician, let alone a smaller artist.

"Satan's Power" is available to stream wherever you listen to music, along with the rest of Plague Skater's discography; you can support the project by following on Twitter @PlagueSkaterNJ and be on the lookout for new merch on the Flea Collar Tapes.
