Plague Skater Drops "we were architects once...", Announces New Record "plague skater II" - Review

Written by Reece Carmen

It's been a little over a year since New Jersey native Will Schwester released his first album under the moniker Plague Skater. After quite a productive 2020, including appearing on several compilations as well as releasing a single in December, he’s finally back.

Schwester has released a single titled “we were architects once...” ahead of the April 16th release of the aptly titled “plague skater II.” The new single has seen him really come into his own creatively in regards to the Plague Skater project; it presents far more developed and complete vision than the songs present on his debut album.

While the track feels incredibly more mature and complete, Schwester’s sunkissed, fuzzy guitars and lo-fi production style that endeared fans to him in the first place are still present. In many ways, this single boils down the essence of what made Plague Skater so much fun to begin with.

In fact, it turns those aspects up to 11, while also feeling new and fresh. If this single is any indicator of what's in store for Schwester's sophomore effort, we're sure to be in for a treat.

"we were architects once..." is available to stream wherever you listen to music, and you can support Plague Skater by following him on Twitter @PlagueSkater. After you've listened to the single, feel free to share your thoughts on it with us by tweeting us @lgndsoftmrw!
