Looking Back Without “Complications”- FRND CRCL Review

Written by Madison Boyce

Roughly a month ago the New Jersey natives in FRND CRCL (pronounced as friend circle), released their brand new single titled “Complications.”

Back in May of 2020, the group released their record titled, “Internet Noise.” While raising the bar on each track they released a near flawless record that made it into my “Favorite Releases of 2020” article, which you can find here!

Fans such as myself wanted to see if they could follow up that strong of a record, and with “Complications,” it's easy to say they did! They combine each member's unique talents to create a catchy and upbeat pop-punk track.

Over the past month this song has been on heavy rotation for myself and I know others can say the same. With each listen it somehow gets better, but at the same time it still doesn’t get tiring like most songs do after countless streams.

This band adds something special to a genre that can feel “overplayed” after a while and it’s easy to say we need more bands like FRND CRCL.

Sleeping on this band was a mistake that I made, so don’t make that same mistake. If bands like FRND CRCL are the future of the pop-punk scene, we have great things to look forward to.

Make sure you check out “Complications” along with the rest of their discography on your preferred streaming service! To further support the band make sure you pick up some of their merch from their official website.

Keep up with the band by following them on Twitter @FRNDCRCL. While you’re there let us know what you think of “Complications” by tweeting us @lgndsoftmrw!
