On August 7th, 2020, Texas metalcore band Fit for a King released their latest single titled "Locked (In My Head)." This single is one that stood out from the array of singles they have released for their upcoming album, "The Path."
It pairs the band's classic heavy instrumentals that always impress with vocals that are sound familiar, but still fresh. The lyrics are familiar sounding as well, packed full of emotion, hopefully a glimpse at what will be included on the record. Every element comes together perfectly, from hard-hitting lyrics to a backing track that hits even harder.
Fit For a King appeals to not only their longtime fans but also newer listeners who may not be as used to heavier music. Overall, the band manages to transition cleanly into a softer sound without straying too far from what they’ve done in the past.
