LATEWAVES Sparks Motivation With New Single “Enough Is Enough” - Review

Written by Hannah Clough

New Jersey natives LATEWAVES released the second single off their upcoming full-length album "Hell to Pay," which drops June 4, 2021, via Know Hope Records. The trio aren’t ones to shy away from difficult discussions, and "Enough Is Enough" proves it.

Behind strong vocals and addictive guitar riffs lies the story of a situation too real to face. Everyone goes through rough patches, but this track dives into it from a friend’s perspective. You can hear in the lyrics, someone is struggling mentally, but their friend is trying to get them to understand they’re not alone.

Especially with the sense of the world now, this narrative is essential; the track sparks this sense of motivation to get your shit together. LATEWAVES are making moves with this release; if the album is anything like this track and the previous single” Extra Pale," we’re in for what could be one of the best releases of 2021.

If you’re a fan of Real Friends, Like Pacific, and Trophy Eyes, this track is definitely for you! LATEWAVES have put a spin on pop-punk with “Enough Is Enough," with guitar riffs reminiscent of the classics, but keeping overall sound fresh and exciting.

This single couldn’t have been released at a better time with summer quickly approaching. It’s perfect for blaring with the windows down, or releasing any built up rage.

You can check out “Enough Is Enough” wherever streaming is available, as well as their merch site! To stay up to date on all things LATEWAVES, make sure to follow them on Twitter @latewaves and let us know what you think of “Enough Is Enough by tweeting us @lgndsoftmrw.
