In preparation for their upcoming sophomore album "Imposter Syndrome", Happy. has released the fourth single off of this record titled “Background Noise.” This song follows the previous “Sick is the New Sane,” “A Cure for Wellness,” and “Liarliar” which will all be featured on the October 30th release via Rude Records.
This track represents unconditional love for someone close to you, no matter what trials and tribulations that life is throwing their way. Happy. sent out a tweet about the song saying, “This is a song about strengthening the relationships you have with your family (or friends). We all go through experiences that force us to grow to be better brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, friends, etc. This year has been one of them.”
This might be one of my favorite songs that Happy. has put out, especially lyrically and vocally. I think there is a general consensus that the best part of the song is during the bridge when it suddenly slows down, the piano comes in, and frontman Tate Logan hits us with powerful vocals.
When I first listened, that part gave me literal chills and I really believe that’s one of the most amazing things that music can do. This track has continued to prove that this new album will be nothing less than amazing.
“Background Noise” is available now for streaming, and be sure to preorder "Imposter Syndrome" before its release on October 30th. You can keep up with Happy. by following them on their socials @bandcalledhappy and let us know your favorite single off this album by tweeting us @lgndsoftmrw!
