New Jersey based singer-songwriter Kelli Faith is making her long-awaited return to music! Her fun new single “Can’t Get Enough” drops this Friday, April 30th.
For fans of Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, and Fearless-era Taylor Swift, Faith puts her whole heart into all of her music, and this track is no exception. Can't wait for release day tomorrow? What inspired you to write “Can’t Get Enough?”
I’m often inspired by love, specifically [by] my love life. It’s kind of been a theme in my music since the release of my debut album "21" that I wear my heart on my sleeve...I’m a huge mush.
This time I wanted to kind of poke fun with that part of myself and I wanted to introduce people more to my personality in my relationship this time because I am such a sap. I get that feeling too often where all I want to do is be with my boyfriend, so I decided to write a song about it in a fun way.
This song showcases my personality best by far out of any of the songs I’ve released so far. I’m really proud of that!
Will “Can’t Get Enough” be a part of something bigger coming in the future, or is it a single that’s meant to stand on its own?
As of right now, the plan is for “Can’t Get Enough” to stand alone as a single…but that doesn’t mean I won’t change my mind in the future. After releasing a whole 12-song LP, I’m excited to switch gears and release singles throughout the next couple of months instead of releasing one longer body of work.
I’ve really been enjoying focusing on one project at a time. It’s really allowed me to kind of “go off” creatively and find my true sound.
What message do you hope people take away from “Can’t Get Enough” after listening?
I think my main goal for this song is for people to have fun with it. I want for people to know [that] it's okay to be yourself in a relationship and to never be ashamed of wearing your heart on your sleeve.
Maybe this song has you running back to your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s house every night, maybe it makes you feel that little extra bit of sexy… maybe it’s just a song you blast in your car and scream the lyrics in your best friend’s face! Love is something that can be felt [for someone other] than just a boyfriend or girlfriend.
I don’t know! In this song, it just feels finally like me, Kelli Faith, and I hope everyone can feel that too.
