Philadelphia’s Neverkept released their second single, “Complicated”, accompanied with a music video. In addition to the news of the single, they also announced that they signed with Epitaph Records, this being their first release with the label.
The song features catchy melodies with a heavier instrumental backdrop and softer interludes, flowing together to create one great piece. Emotionally captivating lyrics such as “I never wanted to be/ Just another crack in your hourglass” are really what make the song the unique project that it is. All of these musical factors are strung along by ex-Broadside guitarist Dorian Cooke’s phenomenal vocals. It’ll definitely bring you through an array of emotions while you listen to it, but if you’re looking for the type of song that you can scream along to, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Neverkept are incorporating new sounds and concepts into their music that you aren’t going to want to miss as they make their debut into the scene.
