'All My Friends Are Dead'- The Amity Affliction Review

Written by: Jayme Stewart

The Amity Affliction are back off of their 2018 release Misery, with the single All My Friends Are Dead. Come back they did- this release was heavier than their album Misery, as if it is a nod to the many fans who complained about the softer sound of the album. The single was a great one to come back with, it feels very them and they are definitely a band that have created a fanbase that knows their sound, so the track will have a lot of appeal. All My Friends Are Dead pairs a lot of emotions with a beautiful delivery. The heavier parts of the song are so smooth and nice, and the singing is very solid. They pair well together and give the classic The Amity Affliction vibe to the song. This song has already been talked about a good bit online and it hasn’t even been released that long, which goes to show that their fans see what they were doing with this song. This song has a lot of very well written lyrics, and the overall theme of the song fits very well with their typical more emotional way of writing songs. This song does seem very them, but that does not make it boring in any way. Overall, this track was very enjoyable to listen to and something that will appeal to a lot of listeners new and old. I think that this song will remain a hit even with a bit more time, and I am curious to see what they will bring to the table next.
